Our panellists include:

Tamara Faith Berger writes fiction, non-fiction and screenplays. She is the author of Lie With Me (2001), The Way of the Whore (2004), (republished together by Coach House Books as Little Cat in 2013), Maidenhead (2012) and Kuntalini (2016). Her fifth book Queen Solomon was released by Coach House Books, Fall 2018. Her work has been published in Apology, Adult, Taddle Creek and Canadian Notes and Queries. Tamara has a BFA in Studio Art from Concordia University and an MFA in TV Writing from the University of British Columbia. She lives and works in Toronto.

Amanda Leduc is the author of The Miracles of Ordinary Men (ECW Press, 2013), and The Centaur's Wife, forthcoming from Random House Canada in 2019. Her stories and essays have appeared in publications across Canada and the United States. She lives in Hamilton, Ontario, where she works as the Communications and Development Coordinator for The Festival of Literary Diversity, Canada's first festival for diverse authors and stories.

Pasha Malla is the author of five works of poetry and fiction, including the story collection The Withdrawal Method and the novel People Park. His work has won the Danuta Gleed Literary Award, the Trillium Book Prize, an Arthur Ellis Award and several National Magazine awards. It has also been shortlisted for the Amazon.ca Best First Novel Award and the Commonwealth Prize (Best First Book, Canada & Caribbean), and longlisted for the Scotiabank Giller Prize and the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award. Pasha is a regular contributor to The Globe and Mail, Newyorker.com, The Walrus and CBC Radio. He lives in Hamilton, Ontario.

Phoebe Wang is a poet and educator currently living in Toronto. Wang’s work explores the intersection between material and psychic geographies. Her poems engage in a kind of fieldwork, surveying gardens, communities, and the paradoxes of subsumed histories. With understated irony and unsettling imagery, her poems address the internal conflicts inherent in contemporary living. Wang’s debut collection, Admission Requirements, was published by McClelland and Stewart in 2017 and was shortlisted for the Gerald Lambert Memorial Award, the Pat Lowther Memorial Award, and nominated for the Trillium Book Award.

Our moderator:

Eugenia Zuroski is a teacher, researcher, editor, and writer. She works in the department of English and Cultural Studies at McMaster University and lives in Hamilton, Ontario. Her first chapbook of poetry, Hovering, Seen (2019) is published by Anstruther Press.
