James Cairns is a professor of Social and Environmental Justice at Wilfrid Laurier University. He’s the author of three books on politics and culture, most recently, The Myth of the Age of Entitlement: Millennials, Austerity, and Hope (UTP). James has published research in the Journal of Canadian Studies, the Canadian Journal of Communication, Studies in Political Economy, and other academic journals. His essays have appeared in the Hamilton Spectator, Briarpatch, the New Socialist, and The Bullet. James lives in east Hamilton.
